How It Works
  • This guided overnight SUP camping adventure is designed for those who are craving a meaningful outdoor experience that blends movement, nature, and restoration. Over two days and one night, you will travel downstream by paddleboard, camp on a sandy riverbank, enjoy nourishing meals, and be guided through supportive wellness practices that help you slow down and reconnect.

This is a small group adventure with a maximum of six guests, allowing for a more personal, supportive, and spacious experience. Your guide is a certified Paddle Canada Instructor who will offer instruction, safety support, and guidance throughout the journey, including gear loading, camp setup, and river travel skills.

You do not need to be an expert paddler, but you should already feel comfortable on a stand up paddleboard and ready for several hours of paddling each day with breaks.

  • This is best suited for guests with previous stand up paddleboarding experience. You should feel comfortable standing on your board, paddling in a straight line, turning, stopping, and spending several hours on the water with regular breaks.

Conditions may include boat traffic, moving water, and waves, so a basic level of confidence and stamina is important. You are always welcome to kneel or sit when needed.

If you are unsure whether this trip is the right fit for your current paddling level, we recommend joining one of our SUP lessons before the adventure.

Saskatchewan weather can shift quickly, so guests should come prepared for heat, cool temperatures, wind, or rain. A few days before the trip, your guide will assess conditions and may need to cancel or delay if weather is unsafe.

  • Our team at Back2Nature will be in touch with you via text message if the weather conditions (i.e. wind, thunderstorms) are unsafe to paddle and we will arrange to reschedule the paddle.

  • What should I wear?

You can wear a swim suit underneath a base layer (we recommend a merino wool short sleeved or long sleeved top). Then pack with you a fleece or wool sweater and a rain jacket. As for bottoms, we recommend wearing a quick dry material of shorts, capris or pants and bringing with you a pair of rain pants. As for your feet, we recommend submersible footwear that you can get wet. Please bring with you an extra change of clothes and footwear.

What if I run out of water?

No worries, we have you covered with a filter that we refill water bottles right from the river!

    Do you supply life jackets?

Yes, we have various sizes of PFDs/life jackets that we provide, along with a whistle attached!

What about a bathroom during the trip?

At camp we set up a backcountry toilet with toilet paper and a wash basin to wash your hands!

Do I need previous paddleboarding experience?
Yes. This trip is best for guests who have paddled before and already feel comfortable standing on a board and managing basic paddle skills.

    Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Many guests join on their own. This small group format creates a supportive and welcoming experience.

What if I do not want to stand the whole time?
That is completely okay. You may stand, kneel, or sit on your board as needed throughout the trip.

    What is the group size?
Each trip is limited to 6 guests to keep the experience personal, spacious, and well supported.

Is this more adventure or wellness?
Both. This experience blends river travel and camping with grounding practices, Qigong, and quiet space to reconnect in nature.

  • Back2Nature has one accessible paddleboard that can accommodate someone with physical and mental challenges. We also have Access Traxx that allow a wheelchair to access a sandy beach.
