Whispers of Wisdom Retreat
Hike/Ski/Snowshoe & Sauna
A Body and Animal Wisdom Retreat for offering connection with self for deeper awareness and alignment.
Explore Animal Medicine and Body Wisdom while also moving your body and releasing in the wood-burning barrel sauna.
In our busy, modern lives, we often become disconnected from our own bodies and the natural rhythms of the earth. Stress, emotions, and unprocessed experiences settle into our muscles, organs, and body—showing up as tension, fatigue, or dis-ease. At the same time, the wisdom of nature and the symbolic guidance all around us often goes unnoticed.
We’re left searching for clarity, healing, and a sense of balance, but don’t always know how to reconnect with ourselves or the natural world in a way that feels meaningful and lasting.
The Whispers of Wisdom Retreat is designed to help you realign with both your inner wisdom and the natural environment. Through a blend of ancient teachings, mindful movement, and restorative practices, you’ll learn to:
Listen to your body as a messenger of your subconscious and emotions.
Discover the wisdom and consciousness of a specific body part, paired with animal guides, to raise your self-awareness for healing
Experience the healing power of nature through seasonal adventures—hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing—while exploring the symbolism of an animal totem.
Release stored tension in the warmth of a wood-burning sauna, inviting stillness and renewal.
Nourish yourself with a curated artisan grazing box, grounding your experience through food and local connection.
Each month we will explore the wisdom of an animal and the connection to our body and mind. Our mind and our body are intricately connected, where we hold emotions and thoughts in the body is not by coincidence, and we can help the body and the mind release through conscious awareness, movement, and intentional releasing in the sauna.
Through movement, nourishment, and restoration, you’ll discover how the land, your body, and the whispers mirror and guide your inner journey.
Your journey includes:
Animal & Body Consciousness Teachings - Discover how each month’s astrological sign carries wisdom for a specific body part and its consciousness. Each sign is paired with an animal totem, offering guidance through the body’s messages and the cycles of nature (e.g., Snake with the reproductive organs, Owl with the thighs, hips and liver). When you raise your awareness to the consciousness of the body and environment around you, healing happens on all levels.
Guided Meditation - After learning more about the animal and body wisdom, you’ll be guided through a meditation that will allow you to connect more deeply to the consciousness and meaning in your body-mind.
Seasonal Guided Adventure and Environmental Connection – Next, we will venture off out into nature, moving our bodies either with hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing, exploring the wisdom of a chosen animal guide while tuning into your body’s messages.
The Prairie Grazer Artisan Box – Savor a thoughtfully curated grazing box filled with local artisan foods, allowing you to digest the experience.
Sauna Experience – Close the day in the warmth of a wood-fired sauna, where heat, stillness, and reflection support your integration and renewal.
This is more than a wellness outing—it’s an invitation to live in dialogue with your body, nature, and the unseen wisdom around you. Each month brings new teachings, new animal guides, and new layers of connection.
Come listen to the whispers of the wild, and leave with deeper clarity, balance, and a sense of belonging to both your body and the earth.
Why This Retreat is Different
This is more than just a day outdoors—it’s a journey into the dialogue between your body, the cycles of nature, and the symbolic wisdom all around you. By weaving together body consciousness, animal medicine, seasonal movement, and restorative practices, you’ll leave feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to yourself and the earth.
-
Step into a journey where the wild speaks, the body remembers, and the elements restore.
This immersive experience weaves animal teachings, body consciousness, and the natural world into a moving tapestry of connection. As the seasons turn, each month invites a new guide—an animal totem linked to an astrological sign and a part of the body—offering wisdom that deepens both your inner awareness and your bond with the land.
Our time together unfolds in layers: first, receiving the teachings of the month’s animal and its corresponding body consciousness; then dropping into meditation, where insight becomes felt experience. From there, we carry this awareness into the landscape itself—walking, skiing, or snowshoeing as the season calls—listening for the subtle dialogue between body and environment. Along the way, nourishment comes not only through movement and awareness but also through the flavors of a hand-crafted Prairie Grazer artisan box, filled with local foods that ground the experience in place.
We close our circle in the embrace of heat and stillness, stepping into a wood-fired sauna where sweat, silence, and reflection complete the cycle. Here, what you’ve gathered from the teachings, the land, and your body can settle, integrate, and renew.
This is not simply a day outdoors—it is an invitation to walk with the wisdom of animals, to hear the whispers carried on the wind and snow, and to discover how your body and the earth mirror one another. Each month is a fresh chapter, a new guide, a deepening of the story that is already unfolding within you.

What should I wear?
For your skiing adventure, we recommend that you wear layers, wool clothing is best. A toque, mitts, neck warmer, winter jacket and pants and boots are recommended.
For the sauna experience, we recommend that you wear light breathable clothing or a bathing suit in the sauna.
Light breathable clothing will prevent you from overheating in the sauna. Be sure that the clothing is breathable and won’t stick to your skin and cause irritation if you begin to sweat.
Swimsuits are a great option if you plan on going swimming or taking a shower after your sauna session.
Will there be a washroom on site?
Yes! There is a drop toilet
Will there be a change room to use?
Yes! The sauna has a three-foot change room and the Lotus Belle Tent has a change tent inside.
